Phoebe Holman - Paralegal
Phoebe Holman is a paralegal at FrizWoods LLC, where she supports the firm's criminal defense practice through research, drafting, case preparation, and client communication. She joined the firm after graduating cum laude from American University with a B.A. in Legal Studies and a minor in Literature. While at American, Phoebe focused her academic work on criminal law and justice reform, contributing to projects on incarceration, pretrial justice, and restorative alternatives.
Prior to joining FrizWoods, Phoebe spent a year at a boutique criminal defense firm in Philadelphia. There, she played an integral role in managing the attorney's calendar, client intake, discovery review, and motion drafting. She also became proficient in electronic court filings across jurisdictions, including New Jersey eCourts, PACER, and Pennsylvania's PACfile system. Her experience includes constructing case timelines, organizing legal arguments, and helping prepare files for court appearances.
In addition to her firm-based experience, Phoebe has worked as an editorial assistant at Solitary Watch, where she published articles on solitary confinement and maintained a legal database focused on carceral practices and constitutional law.
She also interned at the Open Dialogue Foundation in Brussels, advocating for human rights issues at the European Parliament.
Phoebe's long-term goal is to attend law school and become a criminal defense attorney. Her dedication to protecting the rights of the accused and advancing justice makes her a valuable member of the FrizWoods team.
