We are a small firm where your work matters from day one. No billable-hour treadmill, no document review purgatory. You will work directly with founding partners Max Frizalone and Luke Woods on active criminal cases.
Open Positions
Associate Attorney: Criminal Defense
We are hiring an associate attorney to carry a criminal defense caseload in the District and Circuit Courts. This is a courtroom job. You will handle bench trials, motions hearings, bail reviews, and jury trials with partner support, not behind a partner.
Requirements:
- Licensed to practice law in Maryland and in good standing
- Prosecutorial experience in a Maryland State's Attorney's Office strongly preferred; Anne Arundel, Prince George's, Howard, or a neighboring jurisdiction is ideal
- Trial experience in Maryland District or Circuit Court
- Ability to manage your own docket across multiple counties
Compensation and benefits:
- $100,000–$110,000 base salary, depending on experience
- Performance bonus tied to collections on cases you handle, plus origination credit on business you bring in
- 65% employer-paid health insurance premium

- $650/month vehicle allowance for travel between courthouses
- Malpractice coverage, bar dues, and CLE paid by the firm

What the work looks like:
- Immediate courtroom responsibility on real cases
- Direct mentorship from two trial attorneys, including a former Assistant State's Attorney
- A practice built on trying cases, not pushing pleas
Legal Assistant / Paralegal
We are hiring a legal assistant or paralegal to keep our criminal cases moving. You will manage court dates and filings across multiple counties, communicate with clients, request and organize discovery, and support two trial attorneys with active caseloads.
Requirements:
- Experience as a legal assistant or paralegal, criminal law experience preferred
- Strong organization across deadlines in multiple courts
- Professional, compassionate communication with clients facing criminal charges
- Comfort with Maryland Judiciary Case Search, MDEC e-filing, and standard office software
